Our proprietary algorithm is a great tool to measure and maximize functional health BUT it is not perfect. It was not intended to be perfect. It does not perfectly account for the top 5% or the bottom 5% of the population. However it is wonderful for the middle 90%.
For example, our flexibility system could be improved with much more detail and sophistication. However, the extra time, money, and detail does not best serve our users and clients and achieving their goals. If one wants to get more granular in any specific area we encourage them to do that. We are flattered and honored if we can help inspire an increased level of detail in your pursuit of functional health. It would be naïve of us to try and be everything to everyone at all times. Please don't expect us to be perfect and we will not pretend to be perfect.
It's important to note that when we measure things like flexibility, we do not PERFECTLY account for limb to torso ratios which can vary, although not by much. There will also be inherent variability in the assessment themselves pertaining to human error, of clock management for time, or rep count based on poor form (to name a few examples).
Additionally, even though we assess a significant amount of biological systems in a short period of time there are elements we are not able to adequately assess for the sake of convenience (time, money, risk, etc.). Rest assured we incorporate many muscle groups and cardio pulmonary, cardio vascular, and neuromuscular systems of the body (balance), we do not measure everything!
For example, we measure several exercises, that does not mean you shouldn't perform exercises outside of our battery of exercises. In fact you most certainly should. It could be argued that you should incorporate as many different modalities as possible in your training regimen.
As time goes on, we will continue to improve our assessment. We will add to it, and take away; pivot and weave, but one thing we will not do is give up. The mission of connecting, inspiring, and equipping the populations for improved health is too great to quit.
